DIY Sea Salt Coffee Scrub

Autumn is coming. In TCM, the organ associated with the season in the lung. And the skin reflects the health of the lung.

We will often treat points along the lung meridian for conditions like eczema, acne, psoriasis and itching skin. I’ve recently discovered some recipes for an exfoliating scrub to keep your skin glowing. Best of all is that you likely have the ingredients in your kitchen!

DIY Sea Salt Coffee Scrub

  • Fine Sea Salt 🧂
  • Used coffee grounds 🫘
  • Olive oil 🫒
  • Honey 🍯

  1. 1 part used coffee grounds – you can use fresh coffee but used ones work just as well. Coffee grounds work to exfoliate, but caffeine in the coffee reduces inflammation; so it’s great for inflamed eczematous areas as well.
  2. 1 part salt – doesn’t have to be fancy mineral salt; regular kosher or regular table salt works too.
  3. Olive Oil and Honey – enough to mix the dry ingredients to a paste.
Store coffee sea salt scrub in container for up to 2 weeks.

🚫 Note: Don’t use this scrub for your face🚫
