Eagle Rock Acupuncture Practitioners
Valerie Brown, founder of Eagle Rock Community Acupuncture, is licensed with the California Board of Acupuncture and is board certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in New Mexico. While working towards her Master’s Degree, Valerie interned at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Sichuan Province of China where she worked in collaboration with the university’s affiliated hospital doctors administering in-patient treatments.
With over 18 years of clinical experience, Valerie has practiced in Santa Fe, New Mexico; Atlanta, Georgia; and Los Angeles. In Atlanta, she owned and operated one of the largest practices in the city. With her relocation to Los Angeles came the opportunity to fulfill her desire to practice community acupuncture which she experienced in China. Valerie sees the community acupuncture model as the most effective way to restoring health and believes patients in the United States should also have it available. Her goal is to make quality healthcare accessible to all.
Chasity Chan received a Masters degree from Dongguk University in Los Angeles as well as a Doctorate from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Chasity became interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine after suffering with terrible eczema for four years that could not be healed by steroids. One herbal treatment in Beijing made it nonexistent overnight; thus began Chasity’s journey of studying Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Many years later, she is officially a Doctor.
Her specialties include treating pain, depression, and anxiety. And she does all of that with a sense of humor, since her hobby is performing stand-up comedy.
