In Atlanta, she owned and operated one of the largest practices in the city. With her relocation to Los Angeles came the opportunity to fulfill her desire to practice community acupuncture which she experienced in China. Valerie sees the community acupuncture model as the most effective way to restoring health and believes patients in the United States should also have it available. Her goal is to make quality healthcare accessible to all.
Benita Safaryans is licensed with the California Board of Acupuncture, after graduating with a Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University as well as a B.S. in Biology from University of California, San Diego.
Benita first became interested in acupuncture when she was a pre med student. Due to her frustration in dealing with an ongoing, worsening medical condition, she sought out alternative treatment. Benita was relieved to find the benefits and long-term solutions offered by Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She decided that she had more faith in this kind of medicine, since conventional medicine could only offer her a lifetime of drugs. Her internship experience at Yo San gave Benita a solid background in treating multiple health conditions, including infertility, pain management, and auto-immune diseases.
In addition to Acupuncture and TCM, Benita is passionate about nutrition. She is also certified in Raphaology Medicine. With her knowledge and experiences, she is committed to giving guidance to patients in achieving optimum health.
